In a grand event held in Mumbai, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Bollywood actor Bobby Deol came together to unveil the much-anticipated poster of the Marathi movie Dharmaveer 2. The sequel to the popular film Dharmaveer aims to captivate audiences once again with its compelling narrative and stellar performances. It will carry forward the story of the late celebrated Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe.

The event featured significant players such as Prasad Oak, repeating his role as Anand Dighe, and director Pravin Tarde, who were praised for their efforts in the first instalment of the biographical drama. Mangesh Desai from Saahil Motion Arts and Umesh Bansal, Chief Business Officer at Zed, were among the producers in attendance.
Actor Bobby Deol expressed his gratitude and delight, saying, “It’s an honour to be part of this celebration. The performance in the first part was commendable, and I congratulate CM Eknath Shinde on his two successful years in government.”
Reflecting on the film and its theme, CM Eknath Shinde stated, “Anand Dighe was not just a leader, but my mentor. His legacy and efforts continue to inspire us. I am pleased to support this film rendition of his legacy.”
The original film, directed by Pravin Tarde, was a financial success with excellent reviews for its accurate representation of Anand Dighe’s life. The sequel promises to delve into new aspects of Anand Dighe’s life and political career, attempting to capture the spirit of his lasting legacy.
With preparations in full swing, the crew is gearing up for a theatrical premiere on August 9, continuing their cinematic homage to the late Shiv Sena chief.
