Actor Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, Luv Sinha, has now disclosed the reason for his absence from last month’s huge wedding. On June 23, the actor married Zaheer Iqbal in a civil wedding, with her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, in attendance to bless her. Not her brother, though.

Luv shared a clip from a news story alleging that he skipped the wedding due to the groom’s father’s company. He shared the link to the news piece on X and confirmed that he was not present to bless the wedding. The performer, who goes by ‘Shotgun Junior,’ complained about not connecting with a few people. He wrote, “ he reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team (sic).”

The article that he published in his post made a covert allusion to Zaheer’s father’s company. It added, “Apparently, one reason for anxiety was a rumour about the groom’s antecedents. With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the “washing machine”. Nor was there a whiff of the groom’s father’s stint in Dubai, which was rumoured to have ended rather abruptly (sic).” It also suggested the involvement of a superstar with strong ties to the UAE.
While Luv chose not to attend the party, his brother Kussh Sinha did make a brief appearance. His wife and other family members stood by the bride’s side as she expressed her gratitude to Zaheer for making her the happiest person in her life.
Sonakshi and Zaheer celebrated their civil marriage with a lavish wedding reception at a Mumbai restaurant. Salman Khan, Rekha, Tabu, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kajol, and Raveena Tandon were among the numerous Bollywood celebs that attended the celebration.
