Radhika Merchant, the soon-to-be bride of Anant Ambani, celebrated her mausalu ceremony in a beautiful blend of tradition and elegance. The pre-wedding ceremony held a few days before the wedding according to Gujarati customs, saw Radhika adorned in a stunning outfit with a special, sentimental touch.

Rhea Kapoor, the stylist responsible for Radhika’s look, shared heartwarming details on her Instagram page. “Beautiful Radhika at her mausalu in @manishmalhotra05 wearing the jewels her mom wore at her mausalu,” she wrote, highlighting the emotional connection between Radhika and her mother, Shaila Merchant. Radhika wore the same jewellery her mother donned during her own mausalu ceremony.
The breathtaking outfit itself was a masterpiece designed by Manish Malhotra. Radhika looked resplendent in a 35-meter rani pink bandhani lehenga. The intricate bandhani technique, featuring gold zari borders, showcased the rich heritage of Indian textiles. The lehenga was further embellished with embroidery depicting Navratri shlokas, adding a touch of religious significance to the occasion.
Manish Malhotra himself shared pictures of the stunning bride on his Instagram account. He described the outfit as “A Custom Made Vibrant Bandini lehanga: Rai bandhej on a banarasi brocade in Rani pink classic.” The intricate details included “Embroidery in gold taar zardosi” and the powerful “Durga Maa shloka embroidered in the borders.” The voluminous lehenga, crafted from a staggering 35 meters of bandhani fabric, was paired with a meticulously designed koti blouse. The blouse featured detailed metallic threadwork and added a touch of glamour with Swarovski tassels. Manish’s official couture page elaborated on the design, stating, “Each panel of her 35-metre bandhani lehenga bridges tradition and celebrations with deep-rooted elegance.”
In a heartwarming gesture, Nita and Mukesh Ambani hosted a mass wedding for over 50 underprivileged couples from Maharashtra’s Palghar district on July 2. This event, held at the Reliance Corporate Park in Thane, saw around 800 people gather to celebrate the unions. The Ambani family, including Akash and Shloka Mehta, and Isha and Anand Piramal, were all present to mark the occasion.
The official wedding festivities started with an intimate puja ceremony on June 29 at the Ambani residence, Antilia, in Mumbai. The main event, the wedding itself, will take place on July 12 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Spread over three days, the celebrations will encompass three distinct events: ‘Shubh Vivaah’ (the wedding ceremony), followed by ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ (a blessing ceremony) on July 13, culminating in the grand ‘Mangal Utsav’ or wedding reception on July 14.
