In an interview with Hindustan Times, Varma addressed the viral post. He explained, “It was a very generic feeling I had in the morning and I thought about posting it. I was thinking about the overall journey. Had people not rejected me in my initial years, I wouldn’t have ended up making Hanu-Man.” Varma elaborated that the post expressed his gratitude for past rejections, as they ultimately led him to create his successful film “Hanu-Man.”

Varma expressed frustration with the tendency of social media users to misinterpret posts. “There is a lot going on in my life and I do not have the time to spread negativity,” he stated. “I try to put up posts to inspire people. That sentence is almost like a quote from which anyone can take inspiration. But on social media only 10 per cent, I think, got inspired and the remaining 90 per cent are trying to (baselessly)connect the dots.”

Prasanth Varma On Having Creative Differences With Ranveer Singh
Varma also shed light on his creative collaboration (or lack thereof) with Ranveer Singh. The two were previously attached to a project titled Rakshas, but the film ultimately fell through due to creative differences. “There were differing points of view about making the film,” Varma explained. He emphasized his respect for Singh as an actor and stated that the mutual respect remains despite the project’s cancellation. “We still talk to each other. It (the film) just couldn’t happen but our relationship stayed,” Varma concluded.
As of now, the future of Rakshas remains uncertain. Varma hasn’t yet cast a replacement for Singh, and the project is currently on hold.
