Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has been suspended for four games after failing in his bid to downgrade his careless high tackle charge.
In what was his 307th game for the Roosters, breaking a club record, Waerea-Hargreaves was sin binned and placed on report for a high shot on Dragons outside back Max Feagai.
The tackle was slapped with a grade two charge.
As it was his third offence of that nature, Waerea-Hargreaves would have missed three games had he taken an early plea.

However, the Roosters elected to challenge the grading, hoping to overturn it to a grade one charge which would only have warranted a $3000 fine and no suspension but the Roosters and Waerea-Hargreaves were unsuccessful in contesting the charge.
Waerea-Hargreaves won’t be able to return until the Round 25 clash against the Gold Coast Titans.
