AGRA: Ten days after a 16-year-old girl was abducted and assaulted in captivity by three boys in Aligarh, police rescued her and apprehended the accused, among them a minor and a woman, officials said on Tuesday. The perpetrators had allegedly held the teenager captive, force-feeding her multiple sleeping pills every day to render her unconscious, and then gang-raping her.
During this period, they even called the girl’s family and demanded a ransom.Subsequently, a team of 24 police personnel traced the mobile location and reached the accused on Monday.
The father of the survivor, resident of a colony in the Quarsi police station area, had filed a complaint on June 29, reporting the kidnapping of his minor daughter. Following this, a special team was formed under the supervision of ASP Amrit Jain.
“All the accused adults have been sent to jail following court orders. The minor accused has been sent to the juvenile home of Agra. The accused are part of a criminal gang. We are searching for one more person of the gang who is absconding for now,” the officer said.
