On Nov. 17, 2019, a mass shooting in Fresno left four people dead and six others injured. Officials said that the suspects opened fire on a backyard full of 16 people.

In January 2020 criminal charges were filed against Kue and three others and the complaint filed charged them with four counts of murder, one count of conspiracy to commit murder, and 12 counts of attempted murder. According to officials, later that month in 2020, Kue pleaded not guilty. The bail was set close to $24 million each.

Court documents show that Kue was among several people who met at a home on Nov. 17, 2019, to discuss a retaliation plan after a relative of one of the suspects was killed. Later that same day, according to documents, they drove to this home on Lamona where three of the men served as lookouts.

Officials say that the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is waiting for toxicology reports. Investigators are treating the case as a possible homicide.
