Ranveer Singh was thoroughly impressed after watching his wife Deepika Padukone’s latest film, Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. He described the experience as “trippy” due to the coincidental parallel of Deepika being pregnant in both real life and her role in the film.

Last week, Ranveer, along with Deepika, his mother, and sister, visited a multiplex to watch Kalki 2898 AD on the big screen. Following the screening, Deepika shared a reel on Instagram capturing their reactions and interactions with fans. The reel, posted on July 9, features both Ranveer and Deepika discussing the film and engaging with fans who were excited to see the film.
In the Instagram reel, Deepika asked her followers, “What was your favourite part? Comment Below. Have you watched it yet (sic).” The video included snippets of the couple’s reactions and fans’ responses. Deepika, always gracious, even posed for selfies with some fans during their outing.

Ranveer Singh’s comments on the film highlighted his amazement at the uncanny coincidence. He said, “It’s really trippy to see a movie like this where her character is pregnant and she’s pregnant. What’s happening?” Deepika continued, “I don’t know what to feel. I’m just overwhelmed with emotions.” She concluded by saying, with a smile, “Real review will come now when we go home.”
Kalki 2898 AD has been a major success, grossing Rs 900 crores worldwide since its release on June 27. The film, which blends science fiction with Indian mythology, has received widespread acclaim from both celebrities and fans. The storyline, which ends on a cliffhanger, sets the stage for a sequel, which is currently in development.
