TOBYHANNA TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police say a driver was arrested after a traffic stop seized 13 improvised explosive devices.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, on July 5 troopers pulled over a car for code violations on Interstate 80 East in Tobyhanna Township.
Police say the driver was suspected to be under the influence and a search warrant was issued. During the search, troopers stated they found and seized 13 improvised explosive devices inside of the suspect’s car.
Man wanted for allegedly threatening to shoot four men
The State Police Hazardous Device and Explosives team was called and took custody of the devices for further investigation.
The driver, a 46-year-old man from Florida, was charged and taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
