Elaborating on the same, director of Disney+Hotstar’s Commander Karan Saxena, Jatin Wagle said, “The honesty and integrity of the actors, I think, will come straight across to the audience. But having said that, what is different is the way we have tried to show a city as a part of the entire story. We have gone to every nook and corner of Mumbai city, we have gone in the sea, in the slums, in the fisherman colonies, we have shot in Ballard Pier, the rich upmarket areas, Marine Drive, and various other places. We have tried to make this show as relatable, real, and simple as possible for the common man to understand, while still being interesting. Every episode has its small bit of story, every week has its greater arc, and the entire story has one big long arc which we will take forward. So, every 20 minutes is a fun ride where every character will play out their part. Different characters come in at different points to entertain you for that bit and then move on.”
