The Palestinian Civil Defense described the situation in the industrial area in western Gaza City as “very difficult and tragic” on July 12, following the withdrawal of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) from the area after a weeklong operation.
Footage filmed by Ezz Lulu shows smoke rising from the destroyed Soussi Tower residential complex and a building nearby in western Gaza City. It also shows an ambulance driving with its sirens on in the industrial area.
According to Palestinian news reports, Israeli military forces were active in the area of the Soussi Tower recently.
The residential complex was damaged back in February and again in May, according to reports.
Wafa news agency quoted medical sources saying that 60 bodies had been retrieved from the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood and the industrial area of Gaza City by 10 am on Friday.
