Vermont residents awoke to flooding on Thursday morning, July 11, after as much as 6 inches of rain fell on parts of the state over July 10 and 11, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.
The “excessive” rainfall was causing flooding across portions of central and northwest Vermont on Thursday morning, weather officials said.
Footage taken by CW Voigt shows water covering part of Stephens Brook Road in Moretown, west of Montpelier.
“Big thanks to the road crew in Moretown,” Voigt wrote on X.
