Does green slime go with Barbie pink? Margot Robbie and Timothée Chalamet are set to appear in Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards ceremony, along with a handful of other celebrities and nominees, including Reneé Rapp, Anna Kendrick, Jelly Roll and “Good Burger 2” stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
Jack Black will represent on behalf of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” baddie Bowser, and “Across the Spider-Verse” voice actor Shameik Moore will bring his “Spidey sense” to the awards show, taking place July 13 at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion at 8 p.m.
The specifics behind these celebrity appearances are kept under wraps, but Robbie, Chalamet et al will play an active role in the ceremony, which is of course hosted by SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (Bill Fagerbakke).
Nominees for this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards include Caitlin Clark (favorite female sports star), Travis Kelce (favorite male sports star), Ryan Gosling (favorite movie actor, “Barbie”) and Zendaya (favorite movie actress, “Dune: Part Two”). They’ll fight for the coveted Orange Blimps alongside Billie Eilish, Ryan Reynolds, Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake and more.
Taylor Swift leads with six nominations, followed by Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé, with four noms apiece. Additionally, there are more than 50 first-time nominees, including Halle Bailey, Austin Butler, Sabrina Carpenter, Kai Cenat, Luke Combs, Keegan-Michael Key, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ariana DeBose, Ayo Edebiri and Paul Rudd.
Serena Williams will receive the Legend Award, and musical guest The Kid Laroi will perform a medley including the songs “Nights Like This,” “Stay” and his latest single “Girls.”
