Goodpasture Island Road is dotted with automotive dealerships, service centers and repair shops leading up to its connection to Valley River Drive. While most of the facilities look as one might expect a car sales or repairs shop to appear, one stands out with stark wooden framing and heavy machinery equipment at work as construction occurs.
This business, a former Kendall Collision Center location, is undergoing a renovation.
The location is under new ownership and will remain an automotive dealership once construction for the updated space is complete. Permits issued for this building alteration indicate the work is being done for Kiefer Kia.
The original building included an office, a car showroom and a service garage on about five acres of land. This space has undergone a handful of renovations and upgrades since it was first constructed, most notably the current replacement of the vehicle showroom. If construction goes according to plan, the Keifer Kia dealership will be completed by mid-December.
Building Size: Building permits indicate that the addition will result in the facility occupying 40,712 sq. ft.
Contractor: Dorman Construction, of Springfield, Oregon.
