Luis de la Fuente’s side returned for the second half without talismanic midfielder Rodri, who suffered an injury setback.

Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi replaced the Manchester City midfielder, who had been unbeaten in 474 days with his country.

The injury didn’t matter, though, as Spain went on to beat England 2-1.
