CHENNAI: History sheeter Thiruvengadam, who was one of the accused arrested in the murder of BSP state leader K Armstrong, was killed in police encounter in Madhavaram. The cops have been questioning all the 11 arrested suspects in police custody for five days.
At 7am Thiruvengadam was taken to a spot near Madhavaram to recover the weapons which they used to kill Armstrong when he tried to attack one of the SI and escape from the cops.A police team opened fire at him.
He suffered injury and was rushed to the government Stanley Hospital where the doctors examined and declared him brought dead.
Thiruvengadam is also one of the accused in the murder of Thennarasu alias Thenna, Tiruvallur district president of BSP, reported at Thamaraipakkam Koot Road near Periyapalayam in 2015.
