JAMMU: Security forces carried out search operations in Jammu, Doda, Kathua, and Reasi districts of J&K following reports of suspicious movements Monday, officials said.
“In Jammu, a joint operation by police and CRPF personnel took place early Monday in the Lower Gharota, Thathi, and surrounding areas of Akhnoor sector after a villager reported seeing three men in combat clothing,” an official said.
In Kathua, search operations are underway in Machedi-Kindli-Malhar mountainous regions, including Badnota village in Lohai Malhar, where terrorists ambushed an Army patrol and killed five soldiers on July 8. In Doda, security forces initiated a manhunt in Koti forest after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
