Nickel woes keep piling up as IGO flags $275m-plus hit following exploration review – MASHAHER

The disastrous acquisition of Western Areas remains a thorn in the side of IGO, as the Ivan Vella-led miner cauterises a cash-draining nickel search.

The latest flagged “non-cash impairment” means the $1.26 billion IGO paid for Western Areas two years ago has been eclipsed by write-downs on those assets. About $1.35b has been stripped out of Western Areas’ value.
