Supporters of Donald Trump have received the former president with roaring cheers at the Republican National Convention as he made his first public appearance since surviving an assassination attempt two days ago.
Some of the party faithful were brought to tears as the party’s official nominee entered the arena wearing a bandage on his right ear, which was injured by a bullet fired by a gunman at a Pennsylvania rally.
