MARTIN COUNTY − Interstate 95 travelers are expected to encounter delays following a Wednesday morning multi-vehicle crash that left several people injured, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Martin County Fire Rescue.
Martin County Fire Rescue reported responding just before 7 a.m. to a crash involving four vehicles with several people injured. The agency described the crash as a “multi-vehicle rollover.”
According to the sheriff’s office, the crash happened on southbound I-95 just south of Kanner Highway.
The southbound lanes were completely shut down, though one lane has re-opened.
Seven people sustained injuries, according to Cory Pippin, fire rescue spokesperson. Those injured were taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce, St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach and Cleveland Clinic Martin Hospital South in Stuart.
The Florida Highway Patrol reportedly is handling the scene.
