The hilarious and scary trailer of Stree 2 was unveiled today at an exciting event held in a multiplex in Mumbai. The event was graced by the film’s team – actors Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee along with director Amar Kaushik and producers Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios. Stree 2 is a part of a universe and usually, the makers are tight-lipped in divulging details about their forthcoming films. Dinesh Vijan, however, shared fascinating information about what viewers can expect after Stree 2at this event.
Stree 2 trailer launch: Dinesh Vijan shares EXCITING information about the future of Maddock Supernatural Universe: “Stree 2 will be followed by Thama. We have already written Stree 3”
Dinesh Vijan said, “Stree 2 is like the mother ship. It answers a lot of questions that Stree’s first part raised. It also tells you what the connections are.”
He added, “What will come next after Stree 2 would be a film called Thama which we’ll tell you guys about soon. We have already written Stree 3. So the gap between Stree 2 and Stree 3 would be less. Hence, please give it a lot of love.”
Dinesh Vijan then exulted, “One thing I can tell you about Stree 2 is that it is bigger, madder, crazier. The trailer only shows 10% of it. There are a lot of visual effects and we want to leave that for the theatrical experience.”
He also said, “It is Maddock’s most paisa vasool film. So, if you come to the theatre to watch this two-hour-twenty-minutes-long film, I think we’ll see popcorn fly in the air! That’s how sure we are. We hope the audience enjoys it because we enjoyed making it (smiles).”
The Maddock Supernatural Universe began with a bang with Stree (2018), starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Amar Kaushik, it was one of the biggest hits of 2018. This was followed by Roohi (2021), starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Then came Bhediya(2022) and along with Varun Dhawan, it also starred Kriti Sanon. Munjya, the sleeper super-hit of the year, also belonged to this series. It featured an exciting cameo by Varun as Bhediya.
