Unions need to ensure their reputations are not destroyed by “bad apples”, Acting Premier Rita Saffioti has said, maintaining allegations about CFMEU criminal conduct on the East Coast had not been seen in WA.
Speaking after Labor’s National Executive had suspended the union’s construction east coast divisions from the party, Ms Saffioti said advice from transport agencies, Unions WA and from the Master Builders’ Association that the reported behaviour had not been reported on this side of the country.
