Coming from the house of Dharma Productions, the spiritual sequel to Good Newwz which released in 2019, is the romantic comedy Bad Newz. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, a lavish premiere was held on July 18, a day ahead of its release and it was indeed a starry affair. Ananya Panday, who too decided to take time out to catch this commercial entertainer, decided to share her review and couldn’t stop showering praises on the team.

Taking to her official Instagram page, Ananya shared a story about the film after being thoroughly impressed with the performances, quirks, and storyline of this entertainer. In her review, which she posted along with sharing the trailer of Bad Newz, she wrote, “The good news is that your weekend plan is sorted!!! #BadNewzzzz is here and if you wanna have the best time ever go watch it right now in theatres (and then watch it again) !!!!!!” “The best people doing what they do best <3<3<3<3<3,” she added as the tagged the entire star cast of the film along with director Anand Tiwari as well as the producers including Karan Johar.

Also starring Neha Dhupia in a key role, the film revolves around a pregnant Saloni Bagga (Triptii Dimri) who ends up being pregnant with twins after having one-night stands with two different men, Akhil Chadha (Vicky Kaushal) and Gurbir Pannu (Ammy Virk) in a rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation. The condition indicates that two different eggs are fertilized in the ovary of a woman with sperm from two different men and this leads to comic one-upmanship between Akhil and Gurbir as they try to woo her. With an extensive ensemble cast, the film hit cinemas worldwide on July 19.
