Brody’s on the Bay, a restaurant that sits high above Irondequoit Bay near Webster in Penfield, has announced that its last day of service will be Saturday, July 20.
“It is with great sadness that we announce Brody’s On The Bay closing,” the Facebook post said. “This Saturday evening will be our last service. We so deeply appreciate the love and support we have received since our opening May of 2021.
“Our restaurant represented much more to us than just a business. It was our tribute to Brody. He will live on in all our hearts forever. We will always appreciate our wonderful staff and patrons that we now call our close friends. Cheers to you all!”
The restaurant within Southpoint Marina was named in honor of Brody Spade, an 18-year-old Webster Schroeder High School graduate who was killed in a car crash November 2020. Family members owned and ran the restaurant.
The restaurant at 1400 Empire Blvd. in Penfield was previously home to Murphy’s Law Irish Pub.
According to Google, Brody’s on the Bay will be open 11:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday. Call (585) 685-8016.
