FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP − A 45-year-old Shiloh man died Saturday when the motorcycle he was driving at the intersection of Ganges Five Points Road and state Route 96 struck a Dodge Grand Caravan that failed to yield at a stop sign.
Paul Huffman was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital were he died from his injuries, according to a news release from the Mansfield Post of the State Highway Patrol, which notes the crash happed shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Grand Caravan was driven by a 38-year-old Mansfield man who was heading northbound on Ganges Five Points Road. Huffman’s Harley Davison was heading west on Route 96. After being struck, the motorcycle traveled off the right side of state Route 96, according to the patrol.
The Mansfield Post was assisted by the Bucyrus Post, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Township Fire & EMS, Weller Township Fire & EMS, Richland County Coroner and Westside Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
