Will.I.am will be joined by a range of speakers including The Sidemen manager Jordan Schwarzenberger at the new “future-gazing” Frontiers strand of the Edinburgh TV Festival, Variety can confirm.
Also speaking are HaZ Dulull, Yammy, ShxtsNGigs, Ben Zand, Fitwaffle, Ash Holme, Elz the Witch, Wimbledom digital products lead Chris Clements and Cowshed Collective’s head of creative strategy Danny Lorimer.
The Frontiers strand, which is supported by Screen Scotland, aims to look at the future of the television industry as well as take inspiration from related industries including digital, games and brands.
Sessions will include panels such as “The Rise of the Telly-Verse: Where TV Meets Gaming,” “Digital Born, Bred and Booming” and “Back to the Future” Turning Old IP Into Digital Hits.”
Will.I.am will speak on AI and the future of creativity.
The lineup was selected by an advisory team made up of Channel 4 senior digital commissioning editor Laura Marks, Strong Watch Studios co-founders Thom Gulseven and Ben Powell-Jones, BBC daytime commissioning editor Muslim Alim, Jungle Creations CEO Melissa Chapman, Arcade Media co-founder Jordan Schwarzenberger and CoLab X co-founder and CEO Matt Ford.
