“God has gained another angel way too soon,” Crittendon’s mother-in-law Tiffany Oxley wrote in a Facebook message on July 22
Just days after Autumn (Oxley) Crittendon died, her mother-in-law is sharing her heartbreak.
The 16 and Pregnant alum died on July 20 at the age of 27, police confirmed to PEOPLE. Two days later, her mother-in-law Tiffany Oxley took to Facebook to share a short message to the late mom-of-three.
“I miss you. God has gained another angel way too soon. I love you,” she wrote on July 22.

Oxley was a consistent viewer of Crittendon’s Facebook posts, often commenting on photos of her and her children.
“Look at that amazing lady with her most handsome young men and a beautiful little girl,” she wrote on one image of Crittendon from January 2023.
MTV’s Teen Mom franchise also released a statement on X in honor of Crittendon. “We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Autumn Crittendon,” it read. “Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.”
On Sunday, July 21, Misty Crittendon also made a tribute to her late sister on social media when she changed her profile picture on Facebook to a sweet snap of the pair as children, followed by the hashtags: “#JusticeforAutumn #CrittendonStrong.”
Authorities were called to a residence in Sandston, Virginia around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, according to a statement from the Henrico County Police Department. They found an unresponsive adult woman upon arrival.

“Members from Henrico Fire attempted life-saving measures however they were not effective,” the statement read. “The adult female, Autumn Oxley, 27, of Henrico, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Henrico Police are currently classifying this incident as a death investigation.”
It continued: “Detectives are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on this case to determine the exact cause and manner of death.”
