“Pose” star Dominique Jackson will host the fifth annual Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS in Beverly Hills on September 26.
The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation event, taking place at the Beverly Hills Hotel, will honor Gap Inc. president and CEO Richard Dickson with the Elizabeth Taylor Commitment to End AIDS Award. The evening will be supported by presenting sponsor Gilead Sciences.
Dickson has long supported people affected by HIV and AIDS, especially through his support of the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation. He formerly served on the Board of Directors for the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, and currently serves on the Board of Advisors for The Robert H. Smith School of Business at The University of Maryland. As Gap Inc. CEO since August 2023, Dickson leads a $15 billion house of iconic American brands, including Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta.
“The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation is thrilled to honor Richard Dickson with The Elizabeth Taylor Commitment to End AIDS Award at this year’s gala for his unwavering and admirable dedication over the years to helping people affected by HIV and AIDS,” ETAF executive director Catherine Brown said in a statement Tuesday. “It’s his purpose-driven leadership across business, brands and philanthropy that makes all the difference.”
The ball will include a seated dinner, a live auction in conjunction with Christie’s, a live performance and a viewing of items from The Elizabeth Taylor Archives.
Jackson hosted the New York installment of the ball earlier this year at the Rainbow Room.
