The latest season of Mirzapur has further cemented its place as a top OTT drama, with Priyanshu Painyuli and Ali Fazal adding memorable performances to the series. While filming, Priyanshu and Ali found common ground in their shared love for music. Priyanshu revealed, “We have been old friends and admirers of each other’s work. We also share a lot of music with each other whenever we used to get ready as Guddu and Robin in our changing rooms and vanity vans and whenever we would catch up, I did make sure that I made him listen to new tracks.”

Their off-screen bond was strengthened through their shared musical tastes. Priyanshu notes their mutual appreciation for music, particularly techno versions of Spider-Man tracks. He shared, “Our music taste is also similar. Similarly, he would do that as well. We were listening to different techno versions of Spiderman music which we both love. He made me hear some and I made him hear my collection.” This camaraderie extended beyond their professional roles, with Priyanshu considering Ali as a big brother figure.

After watching the series, he texted Ali expressing his deep respect: “I texted him after watching the whole series (Mirzapur 3) that I was a friend, colleague, and co-actor since long but now I have become a big fan of him for life because the things he has done as an actor in the third season of Mirzapur are incredible.” Priyanshu praised the intricate details and natural portrayal Ali brought to his character, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
