Back again with a NHL 24 free agent prediction, today we are exploring Tyler Johnson’s free agent market.
Johnson has spent the past three seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he recorded 17 goals and 31 points in 67 games last season.
A winner at every level, Johnson has won the Memorial Cup, the Calder Cup, and two Stanley Cups, his experience and high energy would allow him to play up and down a lineup.

Johnson recorded 39 points in our simulation, and was only -22, better than the -35 he was in real life. He asked for a two-year deal with a $3.100 million AAV from Chicago.
He ended up signing with the Philadelphia Flyers on a one-year, $2.750 million deal. With Sean Couturier not reaching the high level of play he was at before his injuries and lots of young players in the lineup, Johnson would be a great addition to the Flyers.
We could also see him signing with teams looking for center depth such as Los Angeles or Winnipeg, while a return to Chicago could always be on the table.
