Good weather makes a difference, doesn’t it?

My name is Chris Paine and I’ll be joined again by Rob Harris and Chloe Saltau as we bring you the best of the brilliant action from Day 3 of the Olympics (where it’s sunny, and a top of 30).

Mr Harris will be out at the Palace of Versailles keeping a close eye on equestrian, where Christopher Burton is a medal chance in individual eventing. Then he’ll dutifully make his way out to Paris La Defense Arena for another huge night at the pool, headlined by the new race of the century: Ariarne Titmus v Mollie O’Callaghan in the women’s 200m freestyle.

To kick things off, we’re hoping the Australians can find the podium at the diving, in the men’s 10m synchronised platform, while the Opals get going against Nigeria. Both of those are from 7pm (AEST).

Elsewhere, there’s more to see from the women’s rugby sevens, the beach volleyballers, some blockbuster matches in the tennis – and so much more.

Settle in, stay with us and prepare your (legal) stimulants of choice. Because these Olympics are damn sure worth staying up for.
