Fresh off the heels of the blockbuster success, and subsequent discourse, surrounding his latest film Animal, Ranbir Kapoor has openly discussed the competitive landscape of Bollywood. In a recent interview with Nikhil Kamath, the actor named Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, and Kartik Aaryan as his primary contemporaries.

Kapoor emphasized that the industry is a complex interplay of talent and opportunity. While acknowledging the prowess of his peers, he stressed that the right role at the right time can dramatically alter an actor’s trajectory. “They are such fine actors. I like Vicky Kaushal’s work and Ranveer Singh. It’s the opportunity and the film, I’ve realised. You have an actor you don’t quite appreciate right now but him in the right film and right time can change it for you. But as of now, two actors I really like are Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh,” he said.

Interestingly, Kapoor singled out Kartik Aaryan for particular praise, highlighting the young actor’s undeniable on-screen charm. “And I like Kartik Aaryan also. I think he has something very charming on screen, a charming personality,” he added.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
