swelter as temperatures rise in Paris

“Tomorrow, the heat will rise in the north of the country, and we expect up to 35 or 36 degrees Celsius (95 or 96.8 degrees Fahrenheit) in the Paris region, which might start to impact the health of athletes and the public. And so Paris 2024 will take measures and has already taken measures to ease the impacts of this high heat on the public and on athletes.”
Experts warned that temperatures of more than 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius) could start to affect athletes.
Paris 2024 said there are around 1,200 water cooler and mist fountains sprinkled around the city to help spectators and tourists cool off and stay hydrated.
