Pratibha Ranta, the young actress who left a lasting impression with her roles in Laapataa Ladies and Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, has quickly established herself as a promising talent in the Indian film industry. Having worked with acclaimed directors like Kiran Rao and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the actress has already garnered critical acclaim. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ranta talked about working on Laapataa Ladies with Sparsh Shrivastava and Nitanshi Goel, who were also newcomers on set.

Recalling a moment when Aamir Khan called all three of them to have a chat about the movie, Ranta said, “We are shooting in Bhopal and Aamir sir called Sparsh, Nitanshi and I to meet like, ‘Come, I want to talk to you all.’ He was praising us that we did a good job. Then, he came to me and said ‘You have a different face. We can put you in anything and you can easily mould yourself in that.’ I think that was a very big compliment for me.”

On the work front, she has already signed on for a romantic film opposite Vikrant Massey. Pratibha Ranta is also in talks to star in a progressive relationship drama alongside Konkona Sen Sharma for an OTT platform.
