NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning the bronze medal in the 10m mixed team event at the Paris Olympics.
PM Modi expressed his pride and delight in the duo’s success, highlighting their skills and dedication.

In a message on X, PM Modi stated, “Our shooters continue to make us proud! Congratulations to Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning the Bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the Olympics.Both of them have shown great skills and teamwork. India is incredibly delighted.”
He further praised Bhaker for her consistent accomplishments. “For Manu, this is her second consecutive Olympic medal, showcasing her consistent excellence and dedication,” Modi added.

The Indian pair demonstrated exceptional composure and skill, defeating the South Korean team 16-10 to secure the bronze medal.
This victory not only earned India its second medal at the ongoing Summer Games but also marked a historic milestone for Bhaker. She became the first Indian post-Independence to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics.

Earlier, Bhaker had clinched a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event at the same venue, reinforcing her status as one of India’s premier shooters.
The synergy between Bhaker and Singh was evident throughout the competition, with Bhaker’s composed performance complemented by Singh’s supportive role.
