The Mets are trading left-handed reliever Josh Walker to the Pittsburgh Pirates, per multiple reports.
The return is not yet known.
Walker was designated for assignment last week in order for the Mets to create room on the 40-man roster following the acquisition of Ryne Stanek.
In parts of two seasons for New York, Walker had a 6.45 ERA (4.50 FIP) and 1.65 WHIP in 22.1 innings over 24 appearances.
He appeared in 10 games this season, pitching to a 5.11 ERA (3.89 FIP) while striking out 8.0 batters per nine and walking 4.4 per nine.
