It’s a massive day for the Australians in Paris, with the women’s rugby sevens team facing Canada in a monster semi-final (midnight AEST). The winner will play the winner of the other semi-final (NZ vs US) for gold at 3.45am, after the bronze medal match at 3am AEST.

Elsewhere, Flagbearer Jessica Fox looks to add to her kayak (K-1) gold medal when she starts her gold medal defence in the C-1 (Canoe) class with two heats at 11pm and 1.10am AEST.

As always, there’s plenty of action in the pool, and we’ll have a separate live blog for all the action.

The Boomers are looking to make it two wins from two when they face a tricky Canada side at 9.30pm – which we’ll also cover in a separate live blog!

Later on at 3.45am, the Aussie Kookaburras – our men’s hockey team – face Belgium in their third group stage game, after two wins so far. It’s a top-of-the-table clash in Group B and definitely one to watch after Belgium also won their first two matches.

Not only that, Belgium also defeated Australia in a dramatic penalty shootout in the gold medal match in Tokyo, and the Aussies lost both games against the European giants earlier this year – including another penalty shootout heartbreak.

There’s an all-Aussie showdown in the surfing, with Ethan Ewing facing Jack Robinson in the quarter-finals at 3am and the winner potentially competing in a medal clash later in the morning. And the women’s surfing is also expected to resume after the third round was postponed yesterday.

However, there’s bad news for triathlon fans – and Aussie duo Matthew Hauser and Luke Willian. The men’s triathlon, which was set to start at 4pm AEST, has been postponed a day due to poor water quality in the Seine.
