Two-time Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe and Gold Coast’s Rising Star candidate Bodhi Uwland are fronting AFL Tribunal tonight, challenging a pair of one-game suspensions.

Fremantle is aiming to overturn Nat Fyfe’s one-match ban for striking West Coast midfielder Jai Culley, with the Match Review Officer initially deeming the act to be intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.

In the second quarter of last Saturday night’s derby, Fyfe appears to strike Culley away from the ball.

At present, Fyfe is slated to miss Fremantle’s Round 21 clash with Essendon this Sunday afternoon at the MCG.

The 32-year-old has played 19 games thus far this season — his most fruitful tally since he played 20 senior matches in 2019.

Fyfe’s hearing is scheduled to get underway at 6:45pm AEST.

Meanwhile, the Suns are hoping to reverse Bodhi Uwland’s one-game suspension for rough conduct against Brisbane’s Lachie Neale last Saturday afternoon.

MRO Michael Christian deemed the offence to be careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in the one-match sanction.

Uwland was the Round 12 Rising Star nominee, but as things presently stand, the Gold Coast Academy graduate is ineligible to win this year’s award.

The 21-year-old has played 17 of a possible 19 games this season as the Suns mounted a finals charge.

Uwland’s hearing is scheduled to commence before Fyfe’s at 5:30pm AEST.
