FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A search is underway after a 17-year-old was reported missing on Tuesday morning near Shaver Lake, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say a 17-year-old was believed to have gone out on a hike by himself along the Maxson Trailhead by Courtright Reservoir near Shaver Lake about 10:30 a.m. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, grey t-shirt, black jacket, brown boots, and grey pants.
According to sheriff’s officials, the teen was reported missing hours later at 6:25 p.m. by the leader of the group organization he was with, Back to Earth.
As of Tuesday night, the sheriff’s Search and Rescue (SAR) Team and volunteers were looking for the teenager.
