South films garnering more and more love across the country despite the unfamiliarity with the language and culture has been a matter of surprise for many. Filmmakers too have expanded their reach of South films by catering to Hindi speaking audiences with dubbed versions. While discussing this trend of influx of Hindi and South films as they reach out a wider spectrum of people, Bollywood filmmaker-producer Nikkhil Advani and Telugu superstar Allu Arjun were seen multiple aspects of this subject.

Allu Arjun believes Bollywood actors have forgotten to be heroes
In an interview with Galaata Plus, Nikkhil Advani recalled this intense conversation he had with Allu Arjun where the latter pointed out what is wrong with Bollywood. “I met Allu Arjun and we were talking about doing a film, and he looked at me, and he said ‘you know what’s wrong with Bollywood?’ You all have forgotten how to be heroes”, Nikkhil said. He also went on to address how despite the larger-than-life heroism showcased in these films, audiences not only resonate it with but the makers are also successful in being able to retain and send out the key message of the film, to them without losing that out in the process.
“Everyone thinks about south cinema being mythology and everything, but they take the core emotion. Like water irrigation, let’s make a film about it, and now they have packaged that with incredible action, incredible moments of heroism,” he added.
