BELMONT, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Belmont Mayor Richard Turner died suddenly on Wednesday, family and city officials have announced.
The City of Belmont said he died Wednesday with his family by his side.
Turner’s wife Marie made the announcement on his social media page he’d previously been using to discuss ongoing health battles. “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write but Richard passed away yesterday and went to be with the Lord God in heaven.
