‘The Best Day!!’: Maple Leafs Forward Max Domi’s Off-Ice Hobbies on Full Display in Newest Instagram Story – MASHAHER

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi has undoubtedly become one of the team’s most prominent social media presences during the 2024 offseason.

It seems that the 29-year-old has been keeping busy this summer, striking a balance between preparation, relaxation, and offseason fun ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. Just under a week ago, the forward was pictured working out twice with Brian Kula, owner of Kula Sports Performance. From end-to-end sprints and treadmill work to core exercises and weightlifting, Domi seems determined to find another gear in year two with the Maple Leafs.

Despite the rigorous training, Domi has also found time to unwind, including a scenic vacation to Italy earlier in July.

However, none of his recent activities seem to top what he called “The best day” in his Instagram story Monday. In a series of uploads, Domi first shared an image of himself holding a chicken, flashing his signature ‘hockey smile’ with a few missing teeth in the upper row.

In another post, Domi seems to have picked up a new sport: archery. From his mentions, it seems that he’s using a Hoyt bow from the company ‘Hoyt Archery,’ a company renowned for its quality and Olympic success.

According to the website, it “has been an industry leader and a world-renowned brand in archery and bowhunting since 1931. Since the sport of archery’s return to the Olympics in 1972 where Hoyt bows won both men’s and women’s gold and ignited Hoyt’s dominance on the Olympic stage, more medals have been won with Hoyt bows than all other bow manufacturers combined.”

As shown in the clip, Domi is decked out in a camouflage hat, practicing his aim in the forest with numerous targets to aim for. In the video, the words “Bingo, got it” are audibly heard as Domi strikes a near bullseye.

Nguyen, a former Auburn University player and current coach, reposted the video, captioning it, “#11 working on the FH (forehand),” while audibly instructing Domi.

Domi recently signed a four-year, $15 million contract with the Leafs, which carries a salary cap hit of $3.75 million per season with the club starting in 2024-25. In the 2023-24 season, he had nine goals and 38 assists in 80 regular-season games, adding another goal and three assists in seven postseason appearances.

His social media content has reflected a balanced NHL offseason, showcasing his diverse interests. Whether he’s handling a chicken, shooting arrows, or swinging a tennis racket, who knows what other surprises and activities he has in store before training camp in the fall?
