FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno will be one of the first cities to take part in Governor Gavin Newsom’s “Clean California Community Pledge,” on Saturday at an event, city officials announced.
Officials say that Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer will join representatives from Caltrans and Keep California Beautiful on Aug. 3, to launch Newsom’s new statewide program.
The program is a Clean California Community Designation Program to reward communities that take a leading role in staying clean and beautiful, called the “Clean California Community Pledge.”
The event will be on Aug. 3., at 10 a.m. at the Machester Center Parking Lot located at 1901 E. Shields Ave., in Fresno.
