A sheriff’s deputy and two other people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash that took place Thursday in Victorville as the deputy was pursuing another car, officials said.
The crash took place about 5:10 p.m. at Bear Valley Road and Mesa View Drive, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“A burgundy Scion XA, a black Dodge Durango, and a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department vehicle, (that) was in pursuit of another vehicle, were involved in the crash” the agency said in a written statement.
The deputy, as well as a 22-year-old Adelanto man and a 28-year-old Hesperia man were taken to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries, officials said.
Further details regarding the circumstance of the pursuit were not available.
Deputies from a Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and shut down the roadway for several hours as they conducted an investigation.
