Ananya Panday is currently gearing up to make her long format web-series debut with Call Me Bae. Just last week, the actress dropped a hint about this upcoming show as she took to the social media platform to share a photo of her posing with her chic lavender pink sipper and sharing her mantra, “Espresso, not Depresso”. Now, a couple of days later, the actress shared another photo with yet another ‘Bae’ reference and this time it was for the occasion of Friendship Day.
Ananya Panday celebrates Friendship Day with her ‘Bae’
On Sunday, August 4, Ananya Panday took to her Instagram story and was seen posing with a mug that cheekily says “Bae”. Ananya declared her as her “Bae-ff No. 1” to be none other than coffee. With a wink and a sip, the actress shows off her fans that her best company comes in a cup. However, this was not the only special moment she had on Friendship Day. The actress was also spotted celebrating this day with her childhood bae, Suhana Khan.
Speaking of Call Me Bae, the series is a Dharmatic Entertainment production, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra as executive producers. The series is written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, and directed by Collin D’Cunha. This eight-part series stars Ananya Panday in the lead role, supported by an ensemble cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.
The web-show tells the intriguing story of Bae, an heiress turned hustler. The series will be available for streaming globally across 240 countries and territories starting September 6 on Prime Video. Besides this, Ananya Panday also has a cyber-crime thriller, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and another film with Akshay Kumar in the pipeline.
