The weeks are numbered as we approach training camp in mid-September.
However, the wait goes on for the potential permanent name for the Utah Hockey Club.
As announced on June 13, the club will have Utah HC as its temporary name for at least the 2024-25 season.

The club released an initial list of 20 names on May 8, with fans able to vote on the finalists out of those names.
That list was further whittled to six names on June 6 as speculation began to circulate the name could be announced at the Upper Deck NHL Draft in Las Vegas, which did not occur.
The second round of voting closed on June 20, and no update has been made since then from the club.

Of course, it didn’t stop people from further speculating about what the mascot could be (Yeti, anyone?)

But as the calendar turns, and the off-season winds down, fans once again are left waiting for any news on the name of the team.
