YOSEMITE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Rangers are actively searching for two people after they went out for a hike Saturday morning but did not return as planned, the Yosemite National Park announced.
Park officials say 63-year-old Miguel Delgado and 40-year-old Ana Rodarte left Bridalveil Creek Campground at around 10 a.m. on Saturday. They were believed to have gone on a day hike possibly toward Ostrander Lake.
Investigators say they planned to return within a couple of hours that day but are overdue.
Rangers describe Delgado as 6 foot 1 inch tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket with blue accents, an orange t-shirt, tan pants, and a backpack.
Officials say Rodarte is 5 foot 7 inches tall, 198 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray windbreaker jacket, green pants or jeans, and a blue ball cap.
Anyone who comes across either of these two hikers is asked to contact the National Park Service with any information at 888-653-0009 (call or text) or email [email protected].
