After Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan’s divorce, one might think that Sussanne’s brother, actor Zayed Khan, is no longer close to the Super 30 actor and has grown apart from him over time. However, the fact is quite the opposite, as the Main Hoon Na star emphasized in a recent interview.
Zayed Khan opens up about his unbreakable bond with Hrithik Roshan despite the latter’s divorce with Sussanne Khan; says, “We never drifted apart”
In an interview with Zoom, Zayed discussed his unbreakable friendship with Hrithik and how he still seeks his guidance when in doubt. “Anytime I am unsure about anything that I have shot and haven’t liked, I would call Duggu (Hrithik Roshan) and ask for his opinion. He is very good. Also, when someone doesn’t need to be nice to you for any reason, they will tell you things objectively, and he is one such person. I really love him.”
When asked if he and Hrithik ever had a fight or drifted away following his divorce from his sister Sussanne, Zayed said, “Never. We never drifted apart. In fact, we did everything that a brother-in-law should at that time. While it was and when it wasn’t… we were always the same because, at the end of the day, his children are my children. They have grown up in my hands. We are too mature for all of this. There are more important things. It was their choice, and what had to happen, happened.”
Zayed was also questioned about how family gatherings go for them, as Hrithik moved on with his life after the divorce and began dating actor Saba Azad, while Sussanne found love and is now in a relationship with Arslan Goni. Zayed responded by comparing his family to the iconic American sitcom Modern Family and said, “We are like the new Modern Family. It is crazy; there is extreme acceptance from everyone. It has taken a while to get there, but now that it is together, it is beautiful. We all party together, we get together under one roof, and have a ball.”
Hrithik and Sussanne got married in December 2000. A few years later, they welcomed their first son, Hrehaan, in 2006, and their second son, Hridhaan, in 2008. In 2014, they ended their 14-year marriage.
