The 2024 Paris Olympics continued on Monday, with some sports wrapping up competition for these Games, like gymnastics and 3×3 basketball. Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles earned silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the floor exercise final, while the U.S. women’s 3×3 team stormed back from an 0-3 start to claim bronze with a win over Canada.
On the track, Valarie Allman claimed her second gold medal in discus in dominating fashion, and Sam Kendrick grabbed silver in the pole vault competition, coming in second to Sweden’s Armand Duplantis, who celebrated in a meme-worthy fashion.
Over in Tahiti, American Caroline Marks won the women’s surfing gold medal in dramatic fashion over Brazil’s Tatiana Weston-Webb. Marks finished with an overall score of 10.50, which barely surpassed Weston-Webb’s 10.33.
