Adam Sandler Netflix Special ‘Love Me’ Drops Release Date, Trailer – MASHAHER

Adam Sandler returns to the stage in “Love You,” a music and comedy special directed by Josh Safdie, debuting on Netflix on Aug. 27.

“Love You” marks the Sandman’s first stand-up comedy special since 2018’s “100% Fresh,” and it reunites him with Josh Safdie, who directed Sandler in “Uncut Gems” alongside his brother Benny. (This is Safdie’s comedy special directorial debut.)

“You guys are the best, I love you! I love you! I need you! Help me!” Sandler cries out to the audience in the trailer for “Love Me,” which was first announced in February.

Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions is behind the special, as well as producers Sandler, Safdie, Ronald Bronstein, Eli Bush, Dan Bulla, Carter Hambley, Brian Robinson, Joseph Vecsey, Judit Maull, Eli Thomas and Perry Sachs. Barry Bernardi, Robert Digby and John Irwin are executive producers.

“Love Me” is the latest in a string of collaborations between Sandler and Safdie. The comedy legend also starred in the Safdie brothers’ 2020 short film “Goldman v. Silverman” and is set to lead an upcoming feature set in the world of sports memorabilia to be directed by Josh and produced by Benny, though the latter told Variety in January that the film was “on pause.”

Sandler also has a long history of working with Netflix, which, in 2023, premiered his animated lizard musical “Leo” and the Jewish coming-of-age comedy “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” in which he starred opposite his real-life wife and daughters. Sandler’s other films for Netflix include 2024’s “Spaceman,” the “Murder Mystery” movies with Jennifer Aniston, the basketball drama “Hustle” and the spooky favorite “Hubie Halloween.”
